Small Wobbly Gingham Dish

These small plates are one-of-a-kind and handmade.

They have each been made from dark beige coloured clay and carefully formed by hand into a small plate. They can either be used for biscuits, small bites, or as a jewelry dish.

They have been glazed in a glossy white and subsequently decorated with expressive oxide brushstrokes in olive green.

Handmade ceramic tableware & objects by Kate Smallshaw, made in Berlin. Each piece has been shaped, formed, pinched, rolled, smoothed and cut using traditional hand-building tools and techniques. These techniques take years to master and each piece has a tactility and uniqueness, which cannot be compared to mass produced ceramics.
